It was a beautiful morning for the weekly run along the banks of the Birrarung-Yarra through Warrandyte, with seven starters taking to the course. Many thanks once again to Nada for doing the timekeeping before heading out for her own run.
With the final weeks of the season approaching, things are very close at the top of the table, so every point will count for those competing for the season win. Stephen was first over the line today after another well-paced 3 km walk, with James finishing second and Paul just behind in third place. Atsuko took fourth position, only two seconds ahead of Jozica. Nada and Sandi were the final competitors over the line.
Nobody managed a personal best time this week, but Stephen finished within 15 seconds of his PB and picked up an extra point.
Next week will be the final run of the season and will be held on Saturday 29 August. As the final run, we will have a mass start, with everybody setting off at 7:30 am.
New runners and walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.
