Run 445

Sorry I've been a bit slack in keeping up to date with the details of the runs the last few weeks. Hopefully I will get back into the swing now.

This week saw only 7 runners for the run along the banks of the Yarra, and thank go to Nada for timekeeping this week. No-one was out on the 2 km run this week.

Peter was the first over the line in a beautifully timed run for his first win of the season. Alicia was only seconds behind him in second place. Atsuko continues to run well and was in third place this week. Paul took out the fourth position ahead of Imogen and Nada and Jacinta rounded out the field.

No-one managed a personal best time this week, but two people were within 15 seconds of their PB:
well run Alicia and Atsuko.

Paul and Nada both clocked up their 250th run this weekend. Well done!

Next week the run will be on Sunday 2 December at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 442

Even though it was the Sunday of the Melbourne Cup "long weekend", there were still 10 people who met down near the lizard in Stiggants Reserve for the run along the banks of the Yarra this morning.

There were some quick times recorded this morning with four people going in before the 30 minute mark and recording breaks today. First over the line was Mark, followed by Daniel and Cormick who ran the same time and Genevieve only seven seconds later. The win today was taken out by Randall in a perfectly timed run, coming in only four seconds after the 30 minutes. Second place was Nada, closely followed by Alicia and Kieran. Dennis and Matthew were the final competitors across the line today.

There were 3 personal best times recorded this morning:
Randall was 26 seconds faster over his 4 km distance,
Genevieve beat her previous 3 km best time by 32 seconds, and
Mark was 40 seconds ahead of his previous 4 km best.

One other person was within 15 seconds of their PB:
well run to Daniel.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 10 November at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.
