Run 625 and 626

 Run 625

There were five starters in the run along the banks of the Yarra this week. Thanks to Atsuko for doing the time-keeping duties and completing her run later.

Tony was the first person across the line after the 30 minute mark this morning, giving him a second win this season. Paul managed second place ahead of Atsuko and Harrison and Troy were the last runners over the line today.

Nobody managed a Personal Best time today and nobody was within 15 seconds of their PB.

We congratulated Tony this morning as he completed his 50th run with our group. A wonderful effort Tony!

Run 626

We had six people in the run this morning. Thank you to Nada for running early (in the dark) and then doing the time-keeping duties this week.

Atsuko took out the win this week in a well-timed run, coming in just after the 30 minute mark, with Tony not very far behind her. Jon took out third place ahead of Nada and Paul managed fifth today. Harrison was the last runner over the line.

Nobody managed a Personal Best time this morning and no one was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 22 July with the timer starting at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

PS: Paul is participating in the World's Greatest Shave this year and will be shaving his head and beard on 27 July. If you would like to sponsor him by donating to the Leukaemia Foundation, his fundraising page can be found at: http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/paulkelly1

Run 624

It was a misty morning that saw six starters in the run along the Yarra River in Warrandyte this morning. Thanks to Nada for running early and doing the time-keeping duties again this week.

It was a very exciting finish today with Harrison running a perfectly-timed race to come in at exactly 30 minutes and avoid breaking. The next three runners - Dave, Tony and Atsuko - had only 4 seconds between them as they ran across the finish line. Nada came in fifth place and Paul was the last person over the line this morning.

There was one personal best time run this morning, with Dave taking 11 seconds off his previous best time for the 5 km distance. Harrison also put in a great effort coming in within 15 seconds of his PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 8 July with the timer starting at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.
