Run 448 and end of season

The run on Saturday was our last run for this season and for the year. We had a mass start as is the custom for the last run, and the results will be uploaded after the presentation next year. Thanks to Nada for coming along (in her boot) and doing the timing, hopefully you will be back running very soon.

The results of the week before (run 448) are now on the website below. There were 10 starters for the run which saw Cormick and Randall break, leaving the win open for Peter. Atsuko was in second place, only one second ahead of Paul/ Kieran was next over the line followed by Nada and Jon. Jacinta and Monica were the last people over the line.

There were two personal best times recorded:
Cormick was 30 seconds ahead of his previous PB, and
Randall was 38 seconds faster than his best time.

No-one else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

A reminder that there will be no run on the weekend between Christmas and New Year. The next run is scheduled for 5 January 2019 at 7:30 am.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Run 447

It was a warm morning after a bit of rain to increase the humidity before 11 starters set out for the run on Saturday morning. Thanks to Jacinta for being the timekeeper this week. It was good to see James back after some much longer runs interstate.

Alicia was the first person back across the line today, but she came in 11 seconds before the 30 minute mark and has broken this week. That left the win open for Randall again this week - his fifth win for the season - and sees him well positioned on the top of the consistency ladder. Second place was taken out by Atsuko, only one second ahead of Paul with Matthew not too far behind. Genevieve ran well into fifth place this week with Peter hot on her heels. Nada, James, Jacinta and Adrienne rounded out the field.

There were two personal best times recorded this week:
Randall beat his previous PB by 4 seconds, and
Alicia was 12 seconds ahead of her best time.

No-one else was within 15 seconds of their PB this week.

Next week the run will be on Sunday 16 December at 7:30 am as there is another Warrandyte Community Market on Saturday.

We will be having a BBQ after the run on Sunday, so come along and join us for an end-of-year celebration.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 446

It was a wet and wild night, but the morning was reasonably clear for the run along the banks of the Yarra. There were only 7 people running this morning, so some big points were up for grabs. Thanks to Jacinta for the time-keeping duties this week and a huge thanks to Quinton's Supa IGA for continuing to provide a fruit hamper for the runners each week.

Jacinta was the only runner to take on the shorter (2 km) course this week. In the longer distances, it was Randall who managed to take out the win this week with a PB earning himself the maximum points for this run. In second place was Paul, ahead of Nada. Peter came in fourth this week and Tessa and Jozica were the last runners over the line.

There was only one PB recorded this week:
Well run to Randall who took another 9 seconds off his previous best 4 km time.

No-one else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 8 December at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.
