Run 527

It was a pleasure to welcome a new runner to the group this week. Welcome Tony and we hope to see you back many times in the future. Thanks to Dennis for coming along to do the timekeeping for us this week.

Jacinta was the only competitor to take on the non-handicapped 2 km course this week. In the longer distances, Tony was first over the line, followed by Nada and Atsuko.

Tony was the only person to run a PB this week in his first run and no-one else was within 15 seconds of their best times.

Run 528

It was wonderful to be able to get back into the run after a week off due to the COVID lockdown. Thanks to Nada for running early and doing the timekeeping duties this week.

In the 2 km distance, there were two walkers/runners: well done to Paul and Jacinta. In the longer, handicapped runs the first person over the line after the 30 minute mark was Tony. Monica was not too far behind in second place, only seconds ahead of Atsuko. Nada and Jon were the final runners over the line.

There were two personal best times recorded this week:
Monica in her first 6 km run with the group, and
Tony took 20 seconds off his time from last week.

No-one else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 27 February at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any time during the season.
