Runs 588 and 589

Run 588

There were seven starters in the run along the banks of the Yarra this Sunday morning. Many thanks to Nada who continues to run early so that she can do the timing for us each week.

Harrison was the first runner over the finish line this week, ahead of Hayden with Monica in third position. Paul managed fourth and Nada (once her handicap had been added on) was in fifth place. James and Atsuko rounded out the field this week.

Nobody managed to run a personal best time, but Harrison was within 2 seconds of his PB.

Run 589

Six people were involved in the run this week and we, once again, thank Nada for doing the time-keeping duties.

After the handicaps were added in and adjusted for people who began at different times, it was Paul who came in first this week. He was only seconds ahead of Monica with Jon in third place. Nada managed fourth this week and Atsuko and Tony were the last runners over the line.

Nobody managed to achieve a personal best time this week and no-one was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 15 October at 7:00 am. PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER TIME FOR DAYLIGHT SAVINGS.

We have made some announcements and presented the trophies for the last season over the last couple of weeks. Congratulations to Tony for being the winner of Season 38, with Harrison in second position. In the kids' section the winner was Harrison and second place went to Caitlyn. Congratulations also to Paul for reaching 350 runs, to Atsuko for reaching 300, and to Jon for completing 250 runs with the group.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any time during the season.
