Congratulations Peter. With a mass start on the last run of the season and the year Peter ran his 100th run and took out the win. What a fabulous way to finish the year and I hope we see you there for the next 100 runs!
Alan and Janette also made a cameo appearance before they venture off on their RunRAW 2013 - 365 Marathons in 365 Days! They will be departing Federation Square at 8:00am on New Years Day and we are all welcome to run the first few kilometres with them down St Kilda Rd (then just catch the tram back!). It would be awesome if some of the Warrandyte River Runners could make it in to see Alan and Janette off on the start of their amazing adventure.
Final results - Congratulations Steve. This season it was Steve's determination that saw him take out the main prize for season 9, 22 points in front of his nearest rivals. And those nearest rivals were Peter and Paul who finished in equal 2nd, with Lou finishing in 3rd position as first female. Owen deserves a very special mention as the winner of our kids division. He always turns up and puts in a grand effort with a smile on his face. Congratulations to you all. We will have the presentations at our first run for 2013 (see below).
Thank you to everyone who has made it along to River Runners during 2012 and I hope you have enjoyed the running as much as the socialising. Have a very safe and happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing you in 2013 for our 4th year of River Runners.
The first run for season 10 will be on Saturday 5 January 2013 at 7:00am. Enjoy the break and I'll see you there.

Congratulations Paul! This week it was Paul's turn to take out his 2nd win for the season and secured 14 points. Well done.

We look forward to welcoming those that can make it to the Christmas break up on Sunday - fingers crossed for good weather.
Next week will be the last run for 2012. Where has the year gone? Come down and join us.
With an additional Christmas market being held on Saturday (Rob and I will be there flogging Run Warrandyte if you want to come and say hello), the run will be on Sunday 16 December at 7:30am.
See you down by the hut.

Run 117
Congratulations Peter. Peter is having a ripper of a season and narrowly took out his 3rd win for the season right on the 30 minute mark with Dennis hot on his heels. Can't get any better than that. Well done.
It was a freezing cold, clear morning which spurred 4 runners on to recording PB's. For those who have run in 2012 and haven't run a PB for over 6 months, you have received a PB lift to your last fastest time. PB's this week were;
Anne-Marie - 51 seconds
Jon (and Cinnamon) - 38 seconds
Dennis - 28 seconds
Doug - 7 seconds
Next week the run is on Saturday 23rd June at 7:30am.
See you down by the hut.

Congratulations Jessica! This week not only did Jessica pick up her prizes from last season, but took out the win, with a personal best time and secured maximum points. Well done.
On this drizzly morning we welcomed a new runner and his very small, very cute and very funny side kick. Great to see you and we hope to see you back next week. This has brought us to yet another milestone - Jon is the 100th person to participate in Warrandyte River Runners. It is very rewarding to know that so many people in our community have been a part of our humble run.
Jessica's was the only PB recorded this week, an improvement of 45 seconds.

Well this week it was my turn to take out my first ever win at Warrandyte River Runners. Thanks to my dad pushing me along I managed to cross the line first - thanks Dad.

A big congratulations to Lincoln for taking out the trophy for season 7 with a very consistent 103 points. The points are calculated as the best 10 runs for the season. Our runner up for season 7 was our new runner, Paul. Well done to both of you and it is great to see you turning up every week and putting in a great effort.
The winner of the kids trophy for season 7 was Martin. Congratulations Martin on taking the trophy out again - that sure is great consistency! Our kids runner up for season 7 was another new runner, Jessica. Well done to both of you and you will have to come and collect your prizes next week.
I hope all the mums enjoy their Mother's Day and good luck to anyone participating in the Mother's Day Classic.
