Runs 758 and 759

Run 758

It was still very muggy as five runners met by the banks of the Birrarung-Yarra for the weekly run through Warrandyte. Many thanks to James for coming along this morning to handle the timekeeping duties.

Stephen was the first person to cross the line after completing his 3 km walk, but he moved quickly through the course and finished before the 30 minute mark, so he was recorded as a breaker. This left the win open to Sandi as the first runner over the line after 30 minutes. Paul finished in second place ahead of Nada, with Monica the final runner to complete the course.

Two personal best times were recorded this week. Sandi took 16 seconds off her previous PB. Stephen also recorded an impressive improvement, taking 1 minute and 20 seconds off his previous best time.

Run 759

There were six starters in the run this week, and the weather had turned much cooler. Many thanks once again to James for coming along to handle the timekeeping.

Paul was the only competitor to take on the 2 km non-handicapped distance. In the longer distances the finish was much closer, with the first three runners all in sight of each other at the end. Jozica was first over the line with Atsuko close behind, while Nada finished not far back in third place. Stephen finished in fourth position, with Dave the final runner over the line.

Only one person finished within 15 seconds of their personal best this week. Well run to Jozica for earning the bonus points.
