Run 738

This week’s run along the banks of the Birrarung–Yarra saw three starters take to the course. A big thank you to Nada for once again running early to handle the timekeeping duties.

All runners started from scratch this week, with handicaps added after the finish. Once times were tallied, Nada emerged as the winner, followed by Tony in second place and James rounding out the field.

No personal bests were recorded this week, and nobody finished within 15 seconds of their PB, so no bonus points were awarded.

The next run will be held on Saturday, 18 October with the timer starting at 7:30 am.

New runners and walkers are always welcome to join at any stage during the season. We have distances of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 km available.

Run 737

It was fantastic to have seven runners join this week’s run along the banks of the Birrarung–Yarra through Warrandyte. A big thank you to Colin for volunteering as timekeeper today.

Several participants took on the 6 km course, alongside those running the 'regular' 5 km. Monica was the first across the line, finishing impressively under the 30-minute mark. As a result, her run was classified as breaking, which left the official win open to Harrison. He was followed closely by Nada, with Atsuko just three seconds behind. Dave came through in fourth place, while Jozica and Jon rounded out the field.

This week’s only personal best went to Monica, who knocked an impressive 1 minute and 28 seconds off her previous 6 km time—well done! No other runners finished within 15 seconds of their PBs, so no more bonus points were awarded.

The next run will be held on Saturday, 11 October with the timer starting at 7:30 am.

Run 736

This week’s run along the beautiful banks of the Birrarung–Yarra at Warrandyte saw six starters take to the course. A big thank you goes to Sandi and James for organising the gear, and to Nada for being the timekeeper once again.

Once the handicaps were applied, Atsuko claimed the win, continuing her strong form this season. Nada and James crossed together in equal second, recording identical finishing times. Dave followed just seconds later in fourth, with Jon close behind in fifth. Sandi rounded out the field as the final runner across the line.

There were no personal bests this week, and no one managed to score bonus points for finishing within 15 seconds of their PB.

The next run will be on Sunday, 5 October, with the timer starting at 7:30 am sharp.

As always, new runners and walkers are warmly welcome to join us at any stage of the season - come along for some fresh air, friendly company, and a great start to your Sunday!
