Run 694

It was a very warm morning for the weekly run or walk along the banks of the Birrarung-Yarra in Warrandyte this week. Thanks to Nada for running early and doing the time-keeping duties.

Paul was the only person to take on the shortest 2 km distance this week which does not get included in our handicapped runs. In the longer runs, it was Dave who was first over the line, with Tony in second place. Atsuko took out third place only ten seconds ahead of Nada's time. Monica and Jozica were the last runners over the line.

Nobody managed a personal best time this week and no-one was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 30 November with the timer going off at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 693

It was a beautiful morning to get out for a run before the day heated up and it was great to see ten starters in the run along the banks of the Birrarung-Yarra in Warrandyte this weekend. Thanks once more to Nada for running early and doing the time-keeping duties this week.

There were som every close finishes this week, and we saw Dave just edge out Alex by two seconds for first place after handicaps were added in to times. Renee took out third place only four seconds behind them. Tony was in fourth place four seconds ahead of Jon. Atsuko was in sixth place with Paul in seventh. James and Nada were in eighth and ninth position respectively and Harrison was the final runner over the finish line.

There were two personal best times run today: Dave took 5 seconds off his previous best, and Alex ran 19 seconds faster over his distance. Renee was the only other person within 15 seconds of their PB.

With ten runners, we had a random number draw for a pair of socks, and the number chosen was 5, meaning that Jon is the winner of the socks this week.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 23 November with the timer starting at 7:30am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 691 and 692

Run 691

There were five starters in the run along the banks of the Birrarung-Yarra this week. Thanks to Nada for doing the time-keeping duties yet again.

It was a slow week this week with nobody coming close to the 30 minute mark. Nada managed to be the first person over the line ahead of Atsuko, with Paul in third place. James was only one second behind Paul and Harrison was the final runner to finish.

Nobody managed a personal best time and no one was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Run 692

There were 11 starters in the run this week, so there was another draw for a pair of socks. Thanks to Nada for running early and then doing the time-keeping duties for the group.

First across the line (once the handicaps had been added as most people decided to run off 'scratch' today), was Renee. She had, however, run too quickly and came in before the 30 minute mark and therefore broke this week. That left the win wide open and Nada took it out again this week. Alex managed to take out second place only 4 seconds ahead of Adrienne, with Dave snapping at their heels in fourth position. Harrison was in fifth position today only one second ahead of Atsuko. Tony took seventh place with Jozica in eighth. James was in ninth position and Paul was the last runner over the line this week.

There was one personal best time recorded this week: congratulations to Nada for taking another 9 seconds off her previous PB. Nobody else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

The random number drawn for the socks this week was 2, which means that Nada takes the prize this week.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 16 November with the timer starting at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.
