Run 668

The weather was a touch warmer today (about 10 degrees according to the BOM) and there were four starters in the run along the banks of the Birrarung-Yarra. Thanks once more to Colin for braving the old to come down and do the time-keeping duties.

Jozica was the first place getter today, just ahead of Nada in second place. Atsuko took out third place and Paul was the final runner over the finish line once the handicaps were added to run times.

There was one personal best time recorded this week: Congratulations to Nada who continues to improve on her times each week. Nobody else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

After the run we announced the winners and runners up for last season. In the under 18s section, the winner was Harrison with Alex coming in second place. For the open section it was very close between the top four runners (who all were present this morning). Jozica took out fourth place with 80 points and Atsuko was in third place on 89 points. Second place went to Nada only one post ahead on 90 points, and Paul took out the win for Season 43 with 101 points including four first places during the season.

Next week is a Riverside Market weekend, so the run will be held on Sunday 2 June with the timer starting at 7:30 am.

New runners and or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 667

It was a chilly morning this morning as four runners gathered to take on the 3, 4 and 5 km runs on offer along the banks of the Birrarung/Yarra. Thanks to Nada for running early and doing the time-keeping duties this week.

With only four runners, there were lots of points open today. Nada continues to improve over the 4 km distance and took out the win again this week. Jon came in second place, not too far behind Nada's time. Paul managed third place and Atsuko was the last runner over the line this morning.

There was one personal best time recorded today: well run Nada. Nobody else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 25 May with the timer starting at 7:30 am.

We will also be presenting the trophies and prizes to the winners and runners-up from last season after our run next week.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 665 and 666

Run 665

This was the first run of the new season and there were four starters in the run.

Atsuko took out the first win of the season ahead of Monica in second place. Jone took out third place and Jozica was the last runner over the line.

Nobody managed a personal best time and no one was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Run 666

This week there were seven starters in the run along the banks of the Birrarung/Yarra including a new runner to the group - welcome to WRR Danielle, we hope to see you in another run again soon. Thanks to Colin for coming along this morning and doing the time-keeping duties.

Paul was the only person this week to take on the 2 km distance. In the longer, handicapped distances it was Nada who took out the win this week in a fabulous start to her season. Jon came in second place only seconds ahead of Jozica. Adrienne was the fourth person over the line, with new runner Danielle in fifth place, and Atsuko was the last runner in this week.

There was one person (apart from Danielle) who managed a personal best time this week - well run Nada. Nobody else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 18 May with the timer starting at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.
