Run 663 and 664

Run 663

There were six starters in the run along the banks of the Birrarung-Yarra this week. Thanks to Colin for coming along to do the time-keeping duties.

As the season draws to a close, there were still several people who could take out the prize. Atsuko managed to come in first this week ahead of Jon. Jozica took out third place and Paul was in fourth. Monica and Nada rounded out the field in this penultimate run for Season 43.

Nobody managed a personal best time and no-one was with 15 seconds of their PB.

Run 664

Only four people showed up for the final run of Season 43. Thanks again to Colin for doing the time-keeping this week.

It was a mass start for the last run of the season and Jozica took out the win this week, just seconds ahead of Atsuko. Nada came in third place and Paul was the last runner over the line.

I will not be updating the season ladder until we have presented the awards for this season, but with several runners reaching more than 10 runs in the season, only their top 10 results will count towards their score.

I will update you soon as to the winners of this season.

Next week the new season will begin on Sunday 5 May with the timer beginning at 7:30 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 662

The weather has certainly cooled off over the last few weeks and there was a chill in the air for the six starters in the run this morning. Thankfully there was no rain around even though it was quite misty. Thanks to Colin for coming along to do the time keeping duties this week.

Nada was restricted to walking this week but still took on the 2 km distance. In the longer distances Jon was the first person over the line today, but he managed too quick of a time and came in before the allocated 30 minute mark as a breaker. That left the win ope to Atsuko, who ran a perfectly-timed run coming in at exactly 30 minutes. Paul managed second place just ahead of Monica, and Jozica was the final runner over the finish line.

Jon's time was his quickest for the 4 km distance, beating his previous PB by one minute. Nobody else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next weekend is the Warrandyte Festival on Friday and Saturday, so we will hold off on the run until Sunday (21 April) morning with the timer starting at 7:30 am for our second-last run of the season.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.
