Runs 401 and 402

I have been away for a week and missed the last two runs, but here are the results:

Run 401

There were seven starters for the run today, including a new runner - welcome to the group Randall, we hope to see you running more in the future. Thanks to Jacinta for doing the timing this morning.

Atsuko continues to be a running machine, being the first over the line after the 30 minute mark this morning. She managed to just hold out against Louanna who took out second place and Randall managed a third place in his first run. Jacinta was only seconds behind in fourth running in ahead of James. Adrienne and Steve rounded out the field today.

There were no personal best times recorded this morning and only one person was within 15 seconds of their PB - well run Atsuko.

Run 402

It was a very humid morning that saw six starters in the run today. Thanks to Nada for timing this morning. Thanks also to Quinton's IGA for donating a large box of fruit for the runners today!

Randall was back and on fire this morning, coming in in a perfectly timed finish just after the 30 minute mark. He was a full minute ahead of Peter, Atsuko and Nada who were all within nine seconds of each other. In fifth place today was Louanna and Jacinta was last over the line.

There was one personal best time recorded today:
Well run Randall who beat last week's time by 51 seconds.

No-one else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Sunday 4 February at 7:30 am. We are hoping to have the presentation of last season's winners and thought we might cook some brunch on the BBQs after the run. It would be great to see lots of people there.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 400

We have made it to 400 runs for Warrandyte River Runners. It was a small field of starters this morning taking to the banks of the Yarra to compete in the 400th Warrandyte River Runners Run. Thanks to Steve for coming along to do the timing this morning.

Louanna took off on a beautifully timed ru to be the first over the line after the 30 minute mark this morning. She was clearly ahead of the next competitor, Nada, who managed second place. Pater took out third place ahead of Jacinta. Paul and Jon rounded out the field today.

There was only one person who managed a personal best time this morning:
Well run Louanna who beat her previous PB by 8 seconds, and so managed to take home the maximum points today. This puts her at the top of the consistency leaderboard after run 2 for the season.

No-one else was within 15 seconds of their PB.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 20 January at 7:00 am.

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.

Run 399

It was a warm start to the new year and 10 people came down to run along the banks of the Yarra River this morning. Thanks to Nada fro running early and doing the timing today. We welcomed David B to the group this morning in his first official run with us and hope to see him running in the future.

This morning's run was won by Atsuko who has started the year in great form. Monica was next over the line, just 10 seconds behind Atsu and just in front of James. David came in fourth place once he was allocated a handicap for this week, and Nada was behind him. Paul (the only person running 3 km as everyone else ran 5) managed sixth position today ahead of Steve. Jacinta, Adrienne and Jozica rounded out today's field.

No-one managed a personal best time, and no-one was within 15 seconds of their PB this week.

Next week the run will be on Saturday 13 January at 7:00 am. It will be the 400th run for the River Runners - well done to everyone who has helped us get to this milestone!

New runners and/or walkers are welcome at any stage during the season.
